A good formal suit is something a woman should have even in these times. These kinds of dresses are commonly seen during weddings, afternoon teas, religious services or during luncheons.

Hilarious and so very true! What women go through to meet the various clothing expectations of our culture. Men, it's either a suit or jeans with 1 shirt for suit and lots of T-shirts for casual and two pairs of shoes, dress and tennies. In my old age, I determined to get clear of women's fashion follies. I have one black dress for dress, covers weddings and funerals, 1 pair "dress" shoes, and the rest is T-shirts and jeans. But now that I am learning knitting all my non-dress will end up knitted as I refuse to try to fit into any more "Just My Size" brands all made to fit Amazon-size women and not just short and fat! I look forward to this web site and podcasts. When I get good knitting, I will knit a basic black dress for weddings and funerals.

I agree - you need a Balcony Garden Podcast! There are two types of Rosemary that I am aware of. One grows pretty much upright, and the other sprawls, and grows over edges of walls, etc. Here in Texas they are like weeds, I can't keep em cut back enough, and the deer don't like the smell.

Episode 38 partially recorded, and it'll be up by the weekend for sure. I
had a couple setbacks and a couple breakthroughs, and hopefully things will
get smoother as a result. You'll see why when I upload ;)

I would appreciate your doing the podcast when not exercising; I don't like hearing your huffing and puffing and road noise, car noise. Very distracting. Sometimes being mindful of doing one thing at a time is much better than multitasking so you can pay your full attention to the podcast.

I just found you again, how I lost you I don't know. Really enjoy your podcast. My son is ADD, so I can relate to you, you are so great. I listen thru the song to the end and love the last comments you make. Just wanted you to pass on to your husband that I like his songs, he is very talented, well I think so.

Anne of Green Gables is a wonderful book! I've recently begun to read some of my long ago favorite books; the book I'm reading now is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass - I really loved it when I was a kid.
As always your podcast is fabulous - just like You!

I didn't comment on the yarn balls last episode, but wanted to tell you that yes, I do save the ball bands. If the item is a gift, I always put a ball band in with the package. I take another ball band and a little scrap of yarn and put it in a knitting journal that my mom gave me. I then write down the details of the project including the "aargh!!!!" moments. I haven't gotten smart enough to take a picture and include it yet, but I keep trying!

Suggestion for knitting in the bathtub-knitting with beads and wire? I made knitted beaded napkin rings from a pattern off of Knitty called Versailles. I didn't knit them in the bathtub, but I think it could have worked.... Love the podcast, please keep up the great work. My favorite part is the blurb you put at the end! Please don't stop doing that.

Go-go-go & good luck on your compost. We have ours in 3 large bins in our backyard, so I don't have to worry about any other method. Lucky me, LOL. But compost is great!! It helps our garden do so well.
